So, yesterday I decided to do ALL THE THINGS, which included making two dinners at once because...well, I don't quite know why. It seemed like a good idea at the time. And it was! So, Tuesday, T-minus two days, where 'T' is Thanksgiving. As with any major holiday, there are a lot of things that need to get done in the days leading up to the holiday itself: cooking, cleaning, shopping, etc. Today, for example, I had a lot to do, many of which was fairly time consuming:

*Today, I learned to solvent weld. The purple stuff on the edges of PVC pipes? Not actually purple highlighter. I managed to give myself a headache inhaling the fumes and one of my nails is dyed purple (and may possibly fall off, though shogunhb says it's doubtful), but I've successfully welded three or four lengths of pipes ( Read more... )

Briefly surfacing to say we're experiencing interruptions to our net service due to the thunder storms that have been hitting Worcester all weekend. So if I vanish inexplicably, that's probably what happened.

On the other hand, t-storms are awesome, so I don't mind as much.

Yesterday, shogunhb and I did a bit of research, did a bit of measuring, and then went to Home Depot to buy a new refrigerator. We compared prices, compared efficiencies, and made sure we were getting the best deal possible for what we were paying. (A little less than $1000 after we used ddrpolaris's wedding giftcard.
